Tulsa, OK – A deep freeze is set to grip portions of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas as an Extreme Cold Warning takes effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday until noon Thursday, according to the NWS in Tulsa.
Wind chills could drop as low as -17°F, affecting Tulsa, Muskogee, Bentonville, and Fayetteville. The cold presents a risk of hypothermia and frostbite for anyone exposed without proper protection.
Officials urge residents to wear multiple warm layers, check on vulnerable neighbors, and use portable heaters safely to avoid fire risks.
