Little Rock, AR – The remnants of Tropical Storm Beryl are projected to impact Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Mississippi by Wednesday. The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts heavy rainfall and potential for localized flooding as Beryl moves inland after making landfall on the Texas coast early Monday.

According to the latest update from the NWS, Tropical Storm Beryl is currently moving northwest across the Gulf of Mexico. It is expected to restrengthen into a hurricane before reaching the Texas coast. Once it makes landfall, the storm will weaken but continue to travel northeast, affecting several states.

In Oklahoma, meteorologists predict that the remnants of Beryl will bring significant rainfall and the threat of localized flooding from late Monday through Wednesday. Arkansas could also experience heavy rains and possible flooding, particularly in low-lying areas.

Mississippi is likely to feel the storm’s effects by Wednesday. Residents in these states are advised to prepare for severe weather conditions, including heavy rain and strong winds. The NWS warns of potential travel disruptions and urges people to stay informed through local weather updates.

Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana will also be affected, with forecasts indicating heavy rainfall and flooding risks starting Thursday.
