Wilmington, OH – Light rain and snow showers will move across portions of Ohio, Indiana, and northern Kentucky throughout the day Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
Forecasters said patchy freezing drizzle is possible early this morning in areas north of Interstate 70, followed by scattered snow showers through the afternoon. Light accumulations are expected, mainly on grassy or elevated surfaces, while most roads should remain just wet.
By Sunday night, rain showers will transition to light snow, especially south of I-70. The NWS notes that a few slick spots could develop on bridges and untreated roads as temperatures drop below freezing.
Residents are encouraged to use caution during the morning and evening commutes, particularly in parts of Dayton, Cincinnati, and Wilmington, where mixed precipitation may linger into Monday morning.
