Wilmington, Ohio – Gray skies and unseasonably cool air will dominate Sunday across much of Ohio, with temperatures struggling to reach the mid-60s in cities like Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, highs will top out between 62°F and 69°F across the region, roughly 10 degrees below late May norms. Widespread cloud cover—ranging from 82% to 88% across the area—will persist through 9 p.m., with only limited sunshine and the chance for isolated showers.
Cincinnati, Wilmington, and Columbus are all expected to remain in the upper 60s, while northern locations like Kenton and Celina may not break 63°F. The thick cloud deck will keep skies gloomy for most of the day, especially along I-70 and I-71 corridors, where driving visibility may be lower in passing drizzle.
While no major hazards are expected, residents are urged to keep jackets handy, limit outdoor plans, and turn off sprinklers, as natural moisture returns. Outdoor events may see light interruptions due to lingering dampness.
Clouds are expected to ease slightly overnight, but temperatures will remain cool. Another update is expected early Monday with the latest on Memorial Day travel weather.
