Cleveland, Ohio – Northern Ohio is starting the first Monday of August under blue skies and seasonable warmth, as high pressure settles across the state bringing dry conditions and highs in the low to mid-80s.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, most of the region will enjoy a comfortable and calm day, with cities like Akron, Mansfield, and Sandusky all expected to top out between 81°F and 84°F. Skies will stay mostly sunny early, with some high clouds drifting in late in the day, creating a partly cloudy evening.

Lows tonight will dip into the low to mid-60s across much of the area, providing a refreshing overnight cool-down. Communities along Lake Erie, including Lorain and Ashtabula, may hold closer to 67°F by early Tuesday morning.

With no significant rain chances in sight, outdoor plans, commutes, and school activities should run smoothly. Residents are advised to stay hydrated in the midday warmth but can otherwise expect minimal weather disruptions.

This stretch of dry, comfortable weather is expected to continue through midweek, though increasing humidity is possible by Thursday.
