Wilmington, Ohio – Light rain that began early this morning along the I-75 corridor is now pushing into central Ohio, with showers expected to persist through most of the day. For residents in the northeast parts of the state, rain will linger until later this afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, the rain will continue moving northeast, affecting cities like Columbus and Kenton with a high chance of rain. In contrast, areas southwest of Ohio, including Indiana, the Tri-State, and northern Kentucky, are already seeing the rain move out, with sunshine expected later today as the wet conditions clear.
Throughout Ohio, rain totals will vary, with areas in central Ohio facing higher chances of rain, like Dayton (75%) and areas further northeast (up to 83% in Kenton). As the rain exits, temperatures in the southwest are expected to rise toward 70°F, offering some relief and a sunnier afternoon.
By late afternoon, the rain should clear up across the region, and no further weather advisories are anticipated at this time. However, expect lingering showers in northern parts of the state through the late afternoon.
