Wilmington, OH – A steady soaking rain will continue across much of southern and central Ohio through Thursday, with the heaviest rainfall expected near and south of the Ohio River and along the I-71 corridor, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
Forecasters expect 0.75 to 1.5 inches of rainfall across most areas, with isolated higher totals possible in the southeast. The rain will taper off Thursday evening, ending from west to east as a chilly air mass moves in behind the departing system.
Temperatures will trend below normal into the weekend, with highs mainly in the 40s north and 50s south, and overnight lows dipping into the upper 30s. Friday through Sunday are expected to remain mostly dry under partly cloudy skies.
Motorists should prepare for slick roads and reduced visibility during heavier showers, especially during morning and evening commutes.
