Cleveland, OH – Brisk winds whip off Lake Erie this morning, carrying the unmistakable feel of a late-fall change across northern Ohio. The air is cool, leaves are swirling, and the first weekend of November looks to bring a rollercoaster mix of rain, gusts, and a brief chill before calmer air arrives early next week.

According to the National Weather Service, winds will build through today with gusts up to 37 mph. Light showers are possible late this morning, becoming more scattered after 5 p.m. as temperatures climb to the mid-50s. Drivers should watch for sudden gusts along I-90 and Route 2, especially near open stretches by the lake.

By Saturday, conditions remain unsettled with scattered showers likely through late afternoon and highs near 54°F. Cooler air filters in Saturday night, dropping temperatures into the upper 30s with winds easing slightly.

Sunday will bring the first glimpse of early November chill. Morning clouds will give way to clearing skies and highs in the upper 50s — brisk but comfortable for those setting clocks back as Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m.

Looking into next week, Monday and Tuesday promise dry skies and sunshine with temperatures in the mid-50s. Still, models hint at a stronger cold front late in the week — possibly bringing northern Ohio its first true flurry chances before mid-November.
