Cleveland, Ohio – Severe thunderstorms may rattle northeast Ohio Thursday afternoon, bringing damaging winds, large hail, and even an isolated tornado risk.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, a line of strong to severe storms is expected to develop Thursday afternoon, May 1, and continue through the evening. The primary threats include wind gusts over 60 mph, quarter-sized hail, and heavy rainfall. A tornado or two cannot be ruled out. The most affected areas include Cleveland, Mentor, Akron, and communities along I-90 and I-271.
