Cleveland, OH – Rain showers will arrive midweek across northern Ohio, transitioning to snow as temperatures drop into the weekend. Commuters and travelers should plan ahead, as fog, rain, and snow will create hazardous road conditions.
According to the National Weather Service Cleveland, a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Monday. Visibility is expected to be less than a quarter mile, particularly in northeast Ohio. Drivers are advised to reduce speed, use low-beam headlights, and increase following distance during the morning commute.
The forecast shows mild conditions through Tuesday with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 43 degrees. By Wednesday, rain showers will move into the region, with winds reaching up to 20 mph and temperatures dropping to the mid-30s overnight.
Wednesday night into Thursday, rain showers will transition to snow as colder air pushes across the area. Snow showers will likely continue into the weekend, with a chance of significant accumulation in parts of northern Ohio. Highs will struggle to reach the mid-30s, and lows will hover around the upper 20s.
Drivers traveling along major roadways like I-90 and I-77 should prepare for reduced visibility and slippery conditions. If possible, delay travel during heavy snow showers or allow extra time for the commute.
Residents are encouraged to stay updated on changing conditions and take necessary precautions to ensure safety on the roads.
