Ohio wakes up to steady light snow drifting across Columbus, coating rooftops and lightly dusting parked cars. At 30 degrees, flakes melt on contact in some spots but cling to colder surfaces. Roads are mainly wet now, yet conditions will shift as the day unfolds.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, snow showers will increase in coverage through this afternoon and continue into early Monday. Most neighborhoods around Columbus can expect 1 to 2 inches of accumulation, with locally higher amounts where heavier bands set up. Northwest winds may gust up to 30 mph, reducing visibility at times.

Drivers along I-70, I-71 and I-270 should plan for slick stretches, especially after sunset. As temperatures fall into the mid-20s tonight, untreated pavement could refreeze. That raises the risk of flash freezing before the Monday morning commute. Slow down and leave extra distance between vehicles.

Snow showers taper Monday with highs near 32. Monday night drops to around 20 degrees, locking in any leftover moisture. Tuesday, February 24th brings mostly cloudy skies and highs near 38.

By midweek, a noticeable warmup arrives. Highs climb into the upper 40s Wednesday and low 40s Thursday with rain chances. Late week trends even milder, with highs pushing the mid to upper 50s by Saturday. Early spring warmth appears increasingly likely in the 6–10 day outlook.

Five Day Outlook for Columbus, Ohio:

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, high 38.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, high 48.
Thursday: Rain/snow likely, high 42.
Friday: Mostly sunny, high 46.
