Cleveland, OH – A cold front moving through Ohio today could trigger scattered thunderstorms, with a low-end risk for isolated severe weather across parts of the region.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland has placed far southeastern portions of northern Ohio under a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe storms. This includes areas roughly from Knox County to Mahoning County, where conditions are slightly more favorable for stronger storms.
Thunderstorms are expected to develop as the front moves through later today. While widespread severe weather is not expected, a few storms could produce gusty winds or small hail.
Ahead of the front, temperatures will warm into the upper 50s to upper 60s, adding some instability to the atmosphere.
Most areas, including Cleveland and Toledo, will see lower storm intensity, but residents should still be aware of changing conditions.
Storms will move out later today, with quieter weather expected behind the front.
Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware, especially in southeastern parts of the region where the strongest storms are most likely.
