Cleveland, OH – The National Weather Service in Cleveland is warning of widespread snowfall and bitter cold across northern Ohio and northwestern Pennsylvania through Tuesday.

According to the NWS, rain will transition to snow Sunday night, with periods of heavy lake effect snow expected into Monday. The heaviest accumulations will occur inland across northeast Ohio and northwestern Pennsylvania, where totals could reach 6–8 inches, and even higher in some elevated areas.

Travel conditions may become difficult to hazardous, especially during the Monday and Tuesday morning commutes, as snow bands reduce visibility and coat roads with slick, heavy snow. The NWS also cautions that wet, heavy snow on trees and power lines could lead to isolated outages.

Behind the snow, a blast of Arctic air will drop wind chills into the teens both Monday and Tuesday mornings, marking one of the coldest starts to November so far. Forecasters urge residents to bundle up, plan extra travel time, and stay alert for updated advisories.
