CINCINNATI, Ohio – Southwest Ohio wakes up under a blanket of fog this morning, but sunshine is ready to take over by midday. Drivers along I-71, I-75, and I-275 should allow extra time early Wednesday as patchy fog reduces visibility to less than a mile in some valleys and low-lying areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, calm winds and clear skies overnight are combining to produce dense fog from Hamilton County into northern Kentucky. The fog will lift by late morning, giving way to sunny skies and highs in the low 70s. Motorists are urged to use low beams and slow down through early commuting hours.

Thursday and Friday bring more stable Fall weather, featuring abundant sunshine and light northeast winds. Highs will reach the upper 60s to near 70°F, ideal for outdoor activities, yard work, and early Halloween decorating. Cooler nights will dip into the low 40s, offering crisp evenings perfect for fall festivals across the Tri-State area.

By Saturday, temperatures rise to around 80°F as southerly winds return ahead of a weekend system. Scattered showers may develop late Saturday night into Sunday, though most daylight hours will remain dry.

The brief fog and cool start mark a classic mid-October setup — misty mornings, bright afternoons, and a weekend that feels more like early Fall than late October.
