Cincinnati, Ohio – Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected across the Ohio Valley through Tuesday, with most areas seeing less than a quarter-inch of rainfall. While some locations may experience brief downpours, forecasters say overall precipitation will be light and spread out over time.
According to the National Weather Service’s Ohio River Forecast Center, river levels remain within normal ranges, and no new flooding is anticipated. The highest chances for rain will occur during the afternoon and evening hours, though periods of dry weather will still dominate much of the region.
Cities along the Ohio River, including Louisville, Huntington, Cincinnati, and Wheeling, can expect occasional wet roads and reduced visibility during showers. Travel delays should be minimal, but drivers are advised to use caution during heavier bursts of rain.
Rural and agricultural areas are likely to benefit from the light moisture without concerns of washouts or field flooding. The pattern will also help maintain water supplies without straining local drainage systems.
Rain chances diminish by midweek, with drier and warmer weather expected to return.
