Cincinnati, Ohio – Much of the Ohio Valley will see a dry and calm weekend, but wetter weather is on the way early next week as moisture tracks north from the Gulf. Dry soils across the region should help absorb initial rainfall, limiting runoff and reducing the risk of flooding.

According to the National Weather Service Ohio River Forecast Center, southern portions of the basin will see the best chance for rain beginning Monday and continuing into midweek. The 7-day outlook shows much of Kentucky and southern Ohio picking up measurable rainfall, though no river flooding is anticipated over the next 10 days.

Travelers across major highways, including I-71, I-75, and I-64, should be prepared for slick conditions during passing showers. While heavy downpours are not expected to be widespread, brief localized rain could reduce visibility.

Emergency managers stress that residents should continue monitoring updates in case rainfall trends upward. Current projections show river levels remaining at or near normal flow through next weekend.
