Pittsburgh, Pa. – Western Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia, and eastern Ohio are set for an unseasonably warm Thursday, with afternoon highs climbing into the low to mid-80s. Dry conditions will accompany the warmth, giving the region a summerlike feel as fall foliage begins to show.
According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, temperatures will rise quickly through the morning, reaching the upper 70s by late morning and peaking between 82 and 85 degrees in cities including Pittsburgh, Zanesville, and Wheeling. Cooler overnight lows in the lower 60s are expected by early Friday morning.
The warmth will stretch across much of the tri-state area. Butler, DuBois, and Indiana, Pa., will see highs in the low 80s, while Morgantown, W.Va., and Carrollton, Ohio, could top out near 84 degrees.
