Cleveland, OH – Multiple tornadoes touched down in Ohio on Tuesday afternoon, causing significant damage across the state. According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Cleveland, two EF-1 tornadoes were confirmed, hitting Brook Park, Bedford, and Bay Village.
The first tornado, rated EF-1, struck the Brook Park-Bedford area between 3:59 PM and 4:24 PM EDT. It had estimated peak winds of 104 mph, a path length of 17 miles, and a maximum width of 350 yards. The tornado caused extensive damage, uprooting trees and damaging power lines, but no injuries or fatalities were reported.
The second EF-1 tornado touched down in Bay Village from 3:45 PM to 3:56 PM EDT. This tornado had peak winds reaching 110 mph, a path length of 8.42 miles, and a maximum width of 200 yards. Similar to the Brook Park-Bedford tornado, it caused property damage, particularly to trees and rooftops, but fortunately, no injuries or deaths were reported.
