Cleveland, Ohio – A burst of thunderstorms will sweep across northern Ohio Monday night before giving way to hot, dry air in Cleveland by Tuesday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, storms and showers will begin after noon Monday with a 90% chance of precipitation and possible lightning. A secondary band of storms may pass through the Cleveland area Monday night before tapering off early Tuesday. Temperatures will climb to 74°F on Tuesday with a slight chance of lingering showers after 2 p.m. Skies clear by nightfall as west winds shift in at 8–13 mph.
Travelers on I-90 and I-71 should watch for ponding and reduced visibility Monday evening through early Tuesday. Commuters are urged to drive slowly, turn on headlights, and avoid flooded underpasses.
By Wednesday, expect full sun and a high of 81°F, ushering in a stretch of warm and mostly dry weather. Thursday looks even hotter, with highs near 83°F and partly sunny skies continuing into Friday. Rain chances remain minimal through midweek.
The next possible showers won’t arrive until late Friday night, when a 30% chance returns after 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday both bring modest storm chances, with highs in the mid-70s and warm, humid conditions.
Summer weather will dominate Cleveland through Friday — but don’t stash the umbrella just yet. Another storm system could swing in by the weekend.
