Columbus, OH – Ohio State University Police Division (OSUPD) has arrested three juveniles suspected in a recent string of campus burglaries. These arrests follow five reported break-ins, including four incidents inside residence halls. Police emphasize that none of the suspects are Ohio State students, faculty, or staff.
OSUPD continues its investigation, prioritizing campus safety. They urge anyone with information to contact OSUPD at 614-292-2121. While the investigation proceeds, OSUPD reminds students to stay vigilant and to not grant building access to unknown individuals. Only students with a BuckID should enter residence halls.
Police encourage residents to secure personal belongings and avoid leaving valuables in plain sight. OSUPD underscores that victims are never at fault for crimes, but they advise students to help prevent unauthorized entry by following campus security protocols.
Anyone noticing suspicious activity should report it immediately to OSUPD or dial 9-1-1 in emergencies. More safety resources are available on the OSUPD website at https://dps.osu.edu/.
