Northeast Ohio will enjoy mild spring-like temperatures midweek before a shift to wet and breezy conditions by the weekend. Highs will reach near 59°F on Wednesday under partly sunny skies, but rain chances increase significantly by Friday.
According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will start with a mix of sun and clouds, reaching a high of 49°F. Winds will be light out of the east. By Thursday, temperatures rise to 52°F, with mostly sunny skies and calm conditions.
Friday brings a change as warm air surges into the region, pushing temperatures up to 70°F. However, the warmer weather comes with increasing clouds and a 30% chance of rain by Friday night. Winds will pick up, and scattered showers are expected to develop.
Saturday will be breezy with widespread rain showers, mainly between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., with a high near 70°F. The chance of precipitation stands at 70%. Showers will linger into Saturday night, with lows dipping to 49°F.
Sunday will see clearing skies but cooler air moving in, with highs dropping to 52°F. A few lingering showers are possible. By Monday, mostly sunny conditions return, but temperatures will be noticeably cooler, reaching only 46°F.
Travelers on I-90 and I-71 should prepare for wet roads late Friday into Saturday. Keep an eye on changing conditions as the week progresses.
