Cleveland, OH — A brief but chilly blast of spring weather will sweep through Northeast Ohio early Tuesday, bringing snow showers and gusty winds just in time for the morning commute.

Motorists traveling on I-90 and I-71 near Cleveland should prepare for reduced visibility and possible slick spots before 8 a.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service forecasts a slight chance of snow showers before sunrise, followed by breezy northwest winds reaching up to 21 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday’s high will reach just 38°F, well below seasonal averages for early April. Skies will gradually clear by midday, offering a mostly sunny finish to the day. Winds will taper off Tuesday night with temperatures dropping to a cold 31°F. Frost is possible overnight, especially in outlying areas.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high of 46°F and a 20% chance of light showers after 2 a.m. Thursday will bring the next notable weather event—showers are likely with a high near 52°F and a 70% chance of rain. Overnight lows will hover near 39°F.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday appears to be the pick of the week with partly cloudy skies and a mild high near 53°F. Sunday warms slightly, topping out at 55°F under sunny skies.
