Columbus, OH – A line of severe storms may develop across Ohio this evening, bringing the threat of damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, storms are expected between 7 p.m. and midnight, with the primary concern being strong winds capable of causing damage. While tornadoes are not guaranteed, a few could form in the most intense storms. Outside of storm activity, wind gusts of up to 40 mph are expected throughout the afternoon and evening.

Residents in Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, and surrounding areas should remain weather-aware and monitor alerts. Secure outdoor items, as high winds could create hazardous conditions. Power outages and tree damage are possible.

If warnings are issued, seek shelter immediately in a sturdy building, away from windows. Continue to check for updates from local weather agencies.
