Ohio Semi Truck Accident Claims Life of Marion County Man

Marion, OH – A 69-year-old man has died after his semi-truck overturned in a crash on Sunday in Marion County. The crash occurred at approximately 11:10 a.m. on Mount Olive-Agosta Road, south of Larue-Prospect Road.

Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Marion Post reported that Gerald Mertz was driving his semi-truck when it veered off the right side of the road. The semi then overturned and landed on its roof.

Mertz was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marion County Coroner’s Office. The specific cause of the crash is still under investigation by authorities.
