Cincinnati, OH – The National Weather Service in Wilmington reports that light snow is developing early this morning across southern Ohio and northern Kentucky, bringing the potential for slick travel conditions through mid-afternoon.
According to the NWS, minor accumulations of less than one inch are possible, particularly across northern Kentucky and areas near the Ohio River. The best window for snowfall will be between 4 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday.
While snowfall totals will remain light, isolated slick spots could form on bridges, overpasses, and untreated roads. Additionally, patchy freezing drizzle may mix in at times, further increasing the risk of slippery conditions.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed, allow for extra travel time, and use caution during the morning commute. Temperatures are expected to remain near freezing through the day before gradually warming slightly by evening.
