Cleveland, Ohio – Cooler air is once again settling into Northeast Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania tonight, with lows dipping into the upper 40s in some sheltered valleys and rural areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, increasing cloud cover will prevent temperatures from dropping as sharply as last night. Still, much of the region will fall into the low to mid-50s overnight, with spots like Canton, Youngstown, and Mansfield bottoming out around 50°F. Areas along the US 30 corridor and interior valleys of NE Ohio and NW Pennsylvania are expected to see some of the coldest readings.

Residents in places like Marion and Meadville are encouraged to bundle up if heading out after dark or early Wednesday. While no frost concerns are expected, those camping, commuting early, or without central heat may want to prepare for a crisp start.

Temperatures should rebound slightly by Wednesday afternoon, but early risers should expect a noticeable chill—especially in wind-sheltered low spots.

Additional overnight cooling is not expected later this week, but patchy fog could develop in cooler valleys during the pre-dawn hours.
