Cleveland, OH – Residents across northern Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania will see breezy conditions Sunday as a cold front sweeps through the region early in the morning. While most communities are expected to remain dry, forecasters note a slim chance of a brief, isolated shower in far northeast Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, the cold front will exit the area by mid-morning, leaving cooler air and noticeably higher winds behind it. Wind gusts across cities including Akron, Cleveland, Elyria, Toledo, and Youngstown may reach 20–25 mph throughout the late morning and afternoon hours.

The strongest gusts are expected between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, with readings near 25 mph appearing most likely in Lake, Cuyahoga, Lorain, Erie, and Ashtabula counties. While no hazardous weather is anticipated, drivers of high-profile vehicles may experience brief periods of buffeting on portions of I-90, I-480, and the Ohio Turnpike.

Temperatures will fall slightly behind the front, with cooler air settling in Sunday afternoon before calmer winds return late Sunday evening into Monday. Forecast maps show wind gusts easing into the 10–15 mph range overnight.

The NWS notes that aside from the small shower chance near the Pennsylvania border, conditions should remain quiet across the region. Residents planning travel or outdoor activities can expect dry weather, brisk winds, and cooler temperatures as the new air mass moves in.
