CINCINNATI, OH – Raindrops patter on windshields this morning across southwest Ohio as clouds thicken and temperatures slide toward the upper 30s. The crisp air hints at the season’s next change: colder air arriving by Monday, setting the stage for snow showers Monday night into Tuesday morning across Cincinnati and much of southern Ohio.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, a pattern shift will pull colder air south, replacing the mild Thanksgiving weekend. Monday will start calm but end with rain changing to light snow, especially north of I-71 and near the Ohio–Kentucky border. Minor accumulations are possible, though even a coating could cause slick bridges and early commute hazards Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will hover near 37°F Monday, dropping below freezing overnight. The first week of December will feature brisk winds and a pronounced cold snap, with highs struggling to reach the mid-30s midweek. Areas farther north—Dayton, Wilmington, and Hillsboro—may see more measurable snow if the system strengthens slightly.
Meteorologists say early models also show another disturbance by Friday or Saturday, potentially bringing additional light snow or wintry mix to parts of the Ohio Valley.
