Cincinnati, OH – A Flood Watch remains in effect for large parts of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana through Monday morning as multiple rounds of thunderstorms bring the potential for flash flooding. Heavy rainfall, with rates of 1–2 inches per hour, could quickly overwhelm drainage systems and lead to flooding in low-lying areas.

According to the National Weather Service, counties from Cincinnati to Indianapolis are under threat, including areas like Dayton, Columbus, and Northern Kentucky. Flash flooding is possible, especially in regions near rivers, creeks, and streams that are prone to rapid flooding. Authorities warn that excessive runoff could result in flooding on roads, underpasses, and other flood-prone locations.

In Ohio, counties from Clermont and Butler to Darke and Scioto are affected. In Kentucky, areas like Campbell, Gallatin, and Boone are included, and in Indiana, Ripley, Wayne, and Union counties are at risk. The heavy rains and storms will continue intermittently, with the heaviest rainfall expected through late Sunday night.

Travelers are advised to avoid areas near flood-prone waterways and stay informed on weather updates. Flooding could cause road closures and hazardous driving conditions. Local agencies urge people to monitor the situation closely and be ready to act if flash flood warnings are issued.
