According to the National Weather Service, today’s high will reach 45°F with calm winds. Overnight temperatures will dip slightly to 42°F under persistent cloud cover. Rain is likely to begin Christmas morning after 7 a.m., potentially creating wet roadways, including along I-71, a key corridor for holiday traffic. New rainfall is expected to remain under a tenth of an inch.
Looking ahead, cloudy and rainy conditions will linger through Wednesday, with a high near 44°F. Travelers and residents are advised to allow extra time for morning commutes and to drive cautiously on slick roads. By Thursday, skies will clear slightly, offering partly sunny conditions with a high near 52°F.
The weekend forecast brings warmer temperatures, climbing to a high of 59°F by Saturday. However, an active weather pattern will deliver rain showers beginning Friday, with precipitation chances reaching 70% through the weekend. Sunday’s high is forecast near 57°F, accompanied by continued rain.
