Columbus, OH – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding families that the annual Holiday Card Contest ends Friday, November 15, at noon. The event invites Ohio children age 12 and under to design festive artwork for a chance to be featured on the Colonel’s official holiday greeting card and the Patrol’s social media platforms.

According to the Patrol, entries must be photographed and emailed to HolidayCard@dps.ohio.gov by the noon deadline. Submissions should include the child’s name, city, grade, school, age, and parent contact information in the email body.

To qualify, artwork must be 8.5 x 11 inches and include several required elements: the Ohio flag, the Highway Patrol’s Flying Wheel emblem, a Patrol Stetson hat (featured on top of a Christmas tree), and the message “Happy Holidays from Our Family to Yours.”

Finalists will be notified around November 21, with the winner’s design highlighted in the Patrol’s quarterly magazine The Flying Wheel and used in holiday communications statewide.

For full rules and design specifications, families can visit statepatrol.ohio.gov/holidaycard.
