Wilmington, OH – A strong weather system is set to bring rain and snow to Ohio on Friday night, potentially impacting travel conditions. Temperatures will drop from the upper 50s Friday afternoon to the low 30s overnight, leading to a mix of rain and snow.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wilmington, precipitation will begin as rain Friday evening before transitioning to snow overnight. Winds could gust up to 28 mph, and while significant accumulation isn’t expected, slick roads could develop, especially on bridges and overpasses.
Saturday will see a cold but dry start, with highs in the mid-40s and partly sunny skies. The weekend will warm slightly, with highs near 55 on Sunday, followed by another cooldown Monday.
Drivers should prepare for changing road conditions Friday night and check for travel advisories. Those with evening plans should allow extra time for travel and monitor forecasts for updates.
