Cleveland, OH – Ohio is set to experience significantly more humid conditions today, with a high likelihood of afternoon thunderstorms and heavy rain, particularly along and east of the I-71 corridor. The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued an alert indicating that a few showers and storms may also move across Northwest Ohio by late this evening.

According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms and heavy rain are most likely to occur in the Cleveland, Akron, and Canton areas this afternoon. Residents in these regions should be prepared for potential flash flooding and strong winds. High temperatures will range from 84°F in Canton to 89°F in Meadville, with areas such as Toledo and Findlay expecting highs around 86°F.

The forecast for the week ahead shows varying conditions. Tuesday is expected to remain humid with a 75% chance of rain and temperatures around 80°F. Wednesday and Thursday will see partly sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures, peaking at 85°F. By Friday, rain is expected to return with a 45% chance of precipitation and a high of 82°F.

The weekend will be cooler and unsettled with a mix of rain and sun. Saturday has a 40% chance of rain and highs around 80°F. Sunday and Monday are expected to be drier and cooler with temperatures around 80°F and clear skies.
