Cleveland, OH – Authorities in Cuyahoga County are asking for the public’s help in solving a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a Cleveland man in 2016. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
According to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office, on August 18, 2016, Lennell McCormick exited his vehicle on Kinsman Avenue near East 69th Street following a verbal argument with a friend. Investigators said McCormick was then struck by an unidentified vehicle, which fled eastbound on Kinsman without stopping.
McCormick was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Despite an ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made in the case, officials said.
Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County announced that tipsters may remain anonymous and could receive up to $5,000 for information that results in the arrest and indictment of those responsible.
