Ogle County, IL – Teen Facing Attempted Murder Charges After Seniors Hospitalized

Ogle County, IL – In a grave incident on February 14, 2024, two seniors were rushed to the hospital following a domestic altercation in Mt. Morris. 

According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, the event escalated to the point where Malachi M. Voight, 18, now faces attempted first-degree murder charges, among other felonies. The seniors were transported to KSB Hospital in Dixon with severe injuries. 

Voight is detained at the Ogle County Jail as the legal process unfolds, with the Sheriff’s Office underscoring the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
