Northern Indiana – A deep low-pressure system spinning over the eastern U.S. will continue to keep northern Indiana cool and unsettled through the remainder of the week, according to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana.

Forecasters say light showers are likely to develop late tonight, mainly east of Interstate 69, and will persist into Thursday. The rest of the week will feature occasional scattered showers, with temperatures staying slightly below normal for late October.

Here’s the outlook from the NWS forecast:

  • Today: Partly sunny and cool. Highs 56–58°F.
  • Tonight: Cloudy with light showers east of I-69. Lows 36–44°F.
  • Thursday: Light rain east of I-69. Highs 49–55°F.
  • Friday: Scattered light showers, highs 53–56°F.
  • Saturday: Partly cloudy with spotty light rain. Highs near 50–53°F.

Meteorologists note that while no heavy rainfall is expected, the persistent cloud cover and cool breezes will make it feel brisk outdoors, especially in the mornings and evenings.

Dryer weather could return by Sunday, though another weak disturbance may bring a few sprinkles early next week.
