Oak Brook, IL – Five individuals are facing felony charges following two alleged retail theft incidents at Oak Brook’s Macy’s and Ulta Beauty stores, with one defendant detained on aggravated fleeing and eluding charges. Police say the incidents took place this week and involved thefts valued at over $1,700 in merchandise.

According to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, charges were filed after Oak Brook police responded to a reported theft at Ulta Beauty, 2155 22nd Street, around 2:54 p.m. on Tuesday. Authorities allege that Juan Brochero-Sarabia and Estefani Munoz-Alvarez entered the store, selected multiple fragrance items, and left without paying after Brochero-Sarabia allegedly knocked over a display. The pair then allegedly fled the scene in a white Kia driven by Anthony Ruiz-Fernandez. Police later stopped the vehicle at 55th Street and Wolf Road in Western Springs, taking three suspects into custody.

Later that day, around 6:31 p.m., officers responded to Macy’s for another alleged theft. Authorities allege Alan Jackson Jr. selected nearly $475 in merchandise, placed it in his backpack, and exited the store without payment. Jackson then allegedly entered a Chevy Malibu driven by Tamika Wilson, who fled from police at high speed. Officers say a 20-minute pursuit followed, with Wilson reaching speeds up to 81 mph before spike strips disabled the vehicle near Broadview. Jackson and Wilson were both apprehended following a short foot chase.

All five defendants face burglary and retail theft charges, while Wilson was also charged with two counts of aggravated fleeing and eluding. According to officials, the next court appearance for all defendants is scheduled for September 2, 2025. The DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office emphasized that all charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
