Oak Brook, IL – Stolen Vehicle from Oak Brook Recovered in Indiana; New York Area Men Arrested on I-65

Oak Brook, IL – An interstate investigation has led to the arrest of three men from the New York area following the recovery of a stolen vehicle from Oak Brook, Illinois. 

According to the Indiana State Police-Lafayette District’s Facebook update, the incident occurred around 11 PM Thursday night on Interstate 65, near the 158-mile marker, when a Trooper initiated a traffic stop late in the evening, where he noted the smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A subsequent search resulted in the discovery of suspected marijuana and property reported as stolen.

The men were detained and have been transported to Clinton County Jail, with charges pending as the investigation continues. The vehicle and other items recovered have been turned over to the Oak Brook Illinois Police Department, who are conducting a further probe into the incident.
