Snow fell across the New York City area and southern Connecticut overnight, bringing accumulations of up to 4 inches. Most of southern coastal areas saw mainly rain with light traces of snow.

According to the National Weather Service, snowfall ranged from 2 to 4 inches in interior areas and much of Connecticut. New York City and northern Long Island reported around 1 inch, while southern coastal locations received little accumulation.

Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-40s Monday, with overnight lows dropping to the mid-30s. Warmer temperatures may cause some of the snow to melt, leading to wet roads and possible refreezing overnight.

Forecasters urge drivers to remain cautious, especially in shaded areas where ice may linger. Another round of winter weather remains possible later in the week.
