New York, NY – The National Weather Service New York has issued a Frost Advisory for parts of Connecticut, New York, and northern New Jersey overnight Saturday, followed by a Freeze Watch Sunday night into Monday morning as colder air settles over the region.

The Frost Advisory runs from 11 PM Saturday to 9 AM Sunday, covering Northern Fairfield, Northern New Haven, Northern Middlesex, Northern New London (CT), Western Passaic County (NJ), and Putnam and Orange Counties (NY).

Temperatures will dip to the low- to mid-30s, with frost expected to form in rural and sheltered areas. By late Sunday night, a stronger cold push could bring subfreezing temperatures down to 28°F–31°F, prompting the Freeze Watch.

Forecasters warn that frost and freeze conditions could damage or kill sensitive vegetation, marking the end of the growing season for many inland communities. Residents are urged to bring in or cover plants, and disconnect hoses ahead of the chill.

Skies will remain mostly clear through Sunday, with sunshine and highs in the 50s before another cold night arrives Sunday into Monday morning.
