NY & PA Weather This Week: Sunshine Rules, Isolated Showers Midweek

Binghamton, NY – Residents across Central New York and Northeast Pennsylvania can expect a warm and mostly dry stretch of weather this week, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton. Sunshine will dominate much of the forecast, with only small chances for rain midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will range from the mid-70s to low 80s each afternoon through Friday. Overnight lows are forecast in the mid-40s to low 50s, keeping conditions seasonable for mid-September.

The sunniest days appear to be Monday and Tuesday, with “abundant sunshine and warm” conditions expected. Highs will reach 76 to 83 degrees during this period. By Wednesday and Thursday, a spinning low pressure system moving through the Mid-Atlantic could bring isolated showers to Northeast Pennsylvania and the Catskills. The chance of rain sits around 20 percent each day.

Friday looks mostly sunny again with highs in the upper 70s, while Saturday brings partly sunny skies and slightly cooler temperatures topping out near the mid-70s.

Overall, the National Weather Service emphasizes that most of the week will be ideal for outdoor plans, with only minor weather interruptions possible midweek.
