Fairbanks, AK – The National Weather Service in Fairbanks reports a significant shift in the weather pattern, with clouds clearing late Sunday into Monday, ushering in colder and drier air across Alaska’s Interior.

High temperatures will remain in the single digits above zero, with overnight lows falling well below zero through midweek. Fairbanks is forecast to see highs around 6°F Monday and 3°F Tuesday, with lows between -2°F and -5°F.

Most of the region, including Denali Park, Eagle, and Bettles, will experience similar Arctic cold, while skies remain mostly sunny and winds stay light.

Residents are advised to bundle up and prepare for extended cold conditions, though the calm weather should provide a quiet start to the week.
