Milwaukee, WI – Strong to severe storms are developing along the Minnesota-Iowa border this evening, prompting concerns for northwestern Wisconsin.

According to the National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for areas west of the region until midnight. The primary concern is for counties in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa, where storms capable of producing hail and damaging winds are moving east-northeast. However, these storms could potentially impact northwestern Wisconsin if they shift further east than currently anticipated.

The National Weather Service notes that most of the storm activity is expected to move northwest of the region, but there is a possibility that some northwestern counties in Wisconsin could be affected. Residents in these areas are urged to stay vigilant and monitor weather updates throughout the evening.
