Warren, PA – A Lake Effect Snow Warning remains in effect for Warren County through 1 p.m. Tuesday, with several more inches of snow and gusty winds continuing to create hazardous travel conditions, according to the National Weather Service in State College.
Forecasters report that 3 to 6 inches of additional snow are expected overnight and into the morning hours, with wind gusts up to 35 mph producing areas of blowing and drifting snow. The heaviest snow bands will likely impact northern and western parts of the county, including the city of Warren and nearby communities.
According to the NWS, bridges, overpasses, and untreated roads will become especially slick, making travel difficult through the morning commute. Drivers are advised to delay unnecessary travel and, if driving is required, use extreme caution and allow for extra time.
The snow is expected to gradually taper off by early afternoon as lake effect activity weakens.
Motorists should remain alert for rapidly changing conditions—visibility may shift from clear to near-zero in a matter of minutes within heavy snow bands.
