Erie, PA – Light snow is moving through parts of northwest Pennsylvania this morning, with less than an inch of accumulation expected in the region’s snowbelt areas.

According to the US National Weather Service Cleveland, early snow showers are impacting parts of Erie and Crawford counties and will continue through Wednesday afternoon. These snow showers are part of a localized pattern, primarily affecting the snowbelt region extending from northeast Ohio into northwest Pennsylvania.

Forecasters expect minimal accumulation, with snowfall totals remaining under one inch. Areas such as Meadville and Erie may see brief periods of reduced visibility, but travel disruptions are expected to be minor. Drivers in these zones are advised to slow down during heavier bursts of snow and remain alert on untreated roads.

Outside of the snowbelt, conditions will remain mostly sunny and dry across both Pennsylvania and Ohio. Cities like Youngstown, Cleveland, and Akron are expected to see temperatures in the low to mid-40s, with no precipitation forecast.

A warming trend is expected to begin Thursday and continue into the weekend, gradually pushing temperatures into the upper 40s and 50s. This shift may mark the beginning of a broader spring pattern for the region.
