SHREVEPORT, La. – Light rain and isolated thunderstorms may bring brief interruptions across northwest Louisiana through Monday afternoon before a stretch of clear, sunny weather takes hold midweek. Temperatures will hover in the mid-80s through Friday with gradually drier air returning.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, there’s a 30% chance of showers and isolated storms Monday afternoon, tapering off after sunset. Winds will shift to the northeast around 5 to 10 mph as drier air filters in overnight, keeping lows near 70 degrees.

By Tuesday, skies turn partly cloudy and humidity dips, marking the start of a calmer pattern lasting through the weekend. Sunshine dominates Wednesday through Sunday with highs around 85 to 88 degrees and comfortably cool nights in the mid-60s.

Drivers should watch for slick roads during Monday’s brief downpours but can expect improving travel conditions by Tuesday morning. No severe weather is expected this week, and no new alerts are currently posted for Caddo Parish.
