TULSA, Okla. – A brief midweek cool spell gives way to unseasonably warm fall air across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas, with highs climbing into the mid to upper 80s by Sunday. The National Weather Service in Tulsa says the region will stay mostly dry through the weekend before limited rain chances return early next week.

According to the NWS Tulsa office, Wednesday’s highs will stay near 79 degrees in Tulsa, with overnight lows dipping to the upper 50s. Temperatures then rebound sharply, topping out between 85 and 88 degrees Friday through Monday. Fayetteville, Fort Smith, and McAlester will follow a similar pattern, with daytime warmth paired with mild, humid nights in the low 60s.

Humidity will rise over the weekend, but only isolated sprinkles are expected late Monday into Tuesday. Probabilities of rain remain below 15% for most locations, including along I-44 and I-40 corridors. The quiet pattern means outdoor events, homecoming games, and travel plans across Green Country should go uninterrupted.

Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and dress in light layers for warm afternoons and cooler evenings. Gardeners and those with fall crops can expect several more mild nights with no frost risk through at least midweek. Cooler air may return by late next week as patterns shift across the Plains.
