Huntsville, AL – Northwest Alabama may face a wet Thanksgiving travel window, as new federal outlooks show above-normal precipitation from November 23 through November 29.
Huntsville, Florence, Muscle Shoals, and Decatur all fall inside a 40–50% probability zone for wetter-than-normal conditions. While temperatures remain too warm for snow, periods of moderate rain could create slick roads and low visibility.
I-65, US-72, and I-565 typically see heavy holiday traffic, and rain could add delays during peak travel days. Air travel at Huntsville International Airport may also experience disruptions.
More clarity will come early next week.
