Burlington, VT – A round of light snow will move across northern New York and Vermont today, bringing a coating to a few inches of accumulation by early Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Burlington.
Snow is expected to overspread northern New York late Sunday morning, expanding eastward into Vermont by the afternoon. Most valley locations will see a coating to 1 inch, while summit elevations could receive 2 to 4 inches by 1 p.m. Monday.
Forecasters say road conditions may become slick in higher terrain, but overall travel impacts are expected to remain minor.
Daytime highs will reach the 30s, with overnight lows dropping into the mid-20s to lower 30s. The system will taper off Monday as drier air moves in.
Drivers across the Adirondacks, Champlain Valley, and Green Mountains are urged to use caution on secondary and mountain roads, particularly overnight.
