BURLINGTON, VT – Mountain snow showers will continue across northern Vermont today through Friday morning, with additional accumulations of 2 to 7 inches, according to the National Weather Service in Burlington.
The heaviest snowfall is expected tonight, particularly in the northern Green Mountains, where localized higher totals are possible near Jay Peak. Areas of blowing and drifting snow will also develop due to gusty winds, reducing visibility and producing hazardous travel conditions, especially along mountain passes and higher terrain.
Travelers heading through northern Vermont should slow down, allow extra time, and be prepared for snow-covered and slippery roads overnight into Friday morning.
